Using Pay Per Click Search Engines For Less
by John McNamara

Pay per click search engines are one of the best ways to
advertise your business online. While typical search
engines base your ranking on your website's popularity,
design, and incoming links, pay per click search engines
base it on how much money you bid on each keyword you
selected to be in your list of keywords. The higher you
bid the higher you rank. That's the great thing about pay
per click's or PPC's is it evens the playing field for the
little guy. You don't need a huge advertising budget to
get exposure to your site. All you need is $25, decent ad
copy, and a list of keywords. However there is a downside
to using ppc's with a small budget. Spending all your ad
money too quickly! This article will show you a few ways
to use pay per click search engines without blowing all
your money in one day.
You can find a huge list of pay per click search engines
on the net by searching at one of the major search engines
like yahoo or google for 'pay per click', 'ppc',
or 'payperclick search engines'. Once you find one you
like and you have your ad copy and list of keywords all
ready to go, then sign-up for an account at that search
engine, make your deposit with a credit card or paypal,
and setup your listing. Then you will input your list of
keywords that you feel people will search on to find your
site. Once that is all done your ready to do some
bidding.
Bidding on each keyword is the most important element in
the process. Bid too high and you'll get listed in the
top 5 and if one of your keywords is really popular you'll
blow through that money like your in Vegas on a gambling
spree! Fast fast fast! Bid to low and you won't get that
many hits and you defeat your purpose to advertising at
all. I mean why bother if you don't see any results. So
what's the secret? The secret is using a combination of
ad copy, extremely targeted keywords, and bidding to get
the most results for the least amount of money. Here's an
example of what I'm talking about. Let's say you have an
online multi-level marketing business called MLM-magic.
Well one of your keywords will be mlm-magic. You'll want
to be number 1 on this if you can because people who are
searching for mlm-magic are looking for it specifically.
They are probably going to click on the first one they
see. However in a really popular search phrase
like 'business opportunity' you'll want to be lower on the
list. Why? Because research has found that people will
click the first links a lot but then hit the back button
and look for more opportunities. You want your listing to
be down on the list because if you're too high they'll
click your link just because it's at the top and then
probably return to the search engine for more on the
list. They aren't specifically searching for your link.
They are just browsing. Why spend your money on hits by
people who are just browsing.
Another method is to submit a huge list of keywords for
your listings and bid low on all the keywords. I'm talking
about one or two thousand keywords. The chances are
you'll get one or two hits on many of them and that can ad
up to a nice amount of traffic to your site. And if you
bid low the costs are very affordable.
That's just a couple of ways to use pay per click search
engines without blowing all your hard earned money. I wish
you much success with your internet business ventures.
Good luck!
